NOCA names new president and executive director
The Northeastern Ontario Construction Association (NOCA) has announced two leadership changes.
Former President Mark Kivinen assumes the role of executive director, while former Vice President Malcolm Croskery steps into the role of board President. Both appointments took effect on December 5.
Kivinen has served on NOCA’s board of directors for six years, and was inaugurated as the association’s President on June 16. In addition, he has worked as branch manager at AlumaSafway Northern Ontario for 17 years, and is the director of the Construction Labour Relations Association of Ontario.
“I am looking forward to working with all our members, contractors, trade union partners, associations and all levels of government to help ensure the construction industry in Northeastern Ontario is well represented, healthy and prosperous in the years to come,” he said
Meanwhile, Croskery has served as Chief Operating Officer at Pioneer and Fisher Wavy for the past seven years. He has been a Director on NOCA’s Board for four years, and is the past president of the Ontario Stone Sand and Gravel Association and a current board member of the Ontario Road Builders Association.
“With the current uncertainty, lack of skilled trades, supply chain issues and inflationary pressures, I look forward to helping NOCA members with the challenges that are being faced by our industry today,” he said.
