The project to redevelop the Toronto Power Generating Station into a five-star boutique hotel near Niagara Falls has been given the green light by the province.

Construction is underway on the 928-suite multi-residential apartment development.

Once built, the line is expected to bring an additional 350 megawatts of clean electricity to the northwest – enough to power the city of Thunder Bay twice over.

The bill also facilitates construction 24 hours a day, accelerates property acquisitions and exempts the planned Highway 413 project from the provincial Environmental Assessment Act.
