Hydro One Limited has acquired a 48-percent interest in the East-West Tie Limited Partnership, which owns a 450-kilometre transmission line between Wawa and Thunder Bay.

Investment in building construction rose 1.8% (+$393.7 million) to $22.1 billion in January, led by strong growth across Ontario.

Construction of a sixth crossing east of Ottawa’s downtown core would alleviate some of the traffic that flows through the city’s other downtown bridges.

The plan proposes amendments to the city's procurement bylaw, including awarding contracts for construction work worth under $8.8 million exclusively to Canadian companies.

The company will collect nearly $1.5 million from the federal government to electrify aspects of its operations and reduce GHG emissions.
