The WAHA project calls for construction of a new hospital in Moosonee and an ambulatory care centre on Moose Factory Island.

With approximately 1,200 carpentry vacancies across Ontario, the projects will train over 1,000 jobseekers.

The current science centre building is facing $369 million in deferred and critical maintenance needs over the next 20 years, the business case said.

While the project won't open before next year, an update on construction of the Gordie Howe International Bridge says ironworkers and operating engineers marked the milestone on Friday.

The company the sale is part of its move to focus on its engineering services and nuclear businesses.
