The new Williamsburg Community Centre will be a 17,000-square foot facility that will serve as a hub for residents in the Rosenberg and Williamsburg neighbourhoods.

The awards are designed to formally recognize those working to an exceptional degree within Ontario’s skilled trades.

With a year-over-year contraction of 6.9%, Ontario recorded by far the largest drop in employment among the provinces – primarily driven by declining construction of low-rise housing units.

The utility says the improvements are aimed at enhancing reliability and meeting the city’s growing energy needs.

Both the residential (-2.2% to $14.6 billion) and non-residential (-0.4% to $6.3 billion) sectors posted declines for the month.
