Ontario's acting auditor general says the government is not respecting or using public consultation on environmental impacts in its decision making.

The newest edition of the update report lists three new projects in the pre-procurement stage, including the controversial relocation of Ontario Place.

The motion that passed allows the government to skip committee hearings where the public can provide input, and skips debate on the third and final reading of a bill. 

Statistics Canada reports that payroll employment in construction edged up by 1,900 (+0.2%) in September, following a decline of 13,100 (-1.1%) in August.

Although certification levels surpassed pre-pandemic numbers last year, apprenticeship completions are still below 2019 levels.
