Granite REIT and leasing partner JLL Canada announce the start of construction of the Granite Telephone City Logistics Centre on August 15.

Invited to bid on the work are teams led by EllisDon and Bird. The City of Toronto and Infrastructure Ontario expect to select their preferred bidder next summer.

Under the agreement, Brookfield Infrastructure will invest up to US$15 billion for a 49 per cent stake in Intel’s manufacturing expansion at its Ocotillo campus.

The company awarded the contract for roadwork and site preparation work for the installation and commissioning of a dense media separation plant for the project to SOW Construction Limited Partnership.

Tory’s plan includes allowing more mid−range developments of four units or less on major roads and in areas served by transit, as well as the creation of a new division to streamline the building process.
