Construction of the 85,000-square-foot facility in Queensville, near Leslie Street and Jim Mortson Drive, will take place over approximately 26 months and is slated to start next month.

Funding the project comes in the form of investments of more than $429,000 from the two senior levels of government. The construction work itself is expected to be completed by June 2023.

Both the residential (+1.0% to $15.7 billion) and non-residential sectors (+0.1% to $5.3 billion) showed increases.

The legal saga around a two-year occupation of a proposed development site by a group of Indigenous people returned to an Ontario court on Monday with another attempt to remove the protesters. 

The group announced a series of proposals that it says will help to protect Canadians and communities of all sizes across the country from the impacts of climate change.
