The RFP is the first step of the project to build the controversial new road that will extend from Highway 400 between 8th Line and 9th Line in Bradford West Gwillimbury to Highway 404 between Queensville Sideroad and Holborn Road in East Gwillimbury.

The Ontario Ministry of Labour is investigating the incident east of the Rouge Hill GO station.

Work on the second phase of the four-phase project in Windsor wrapped up this fall. Once the project is fully complete in 2025, it will relieve congestion on a busy commercial/industrial corridor.

With two months of permit data yet to be collected and reported, the city has already surpassed its best-every year for construction—at $105 million. The previous record of $101 million was set over 12 months in 2006.

The city says its greenhouse gas emissions in 2019 were 38 per cent lower when compared with 1990.
