The Government of Ontario and Metrolinx have partnered with the construction industry for a new, convenient option for construction employers to encourage workers on-site to receive their COVID-19 vaccine.

Demolition of the site began earlier this year, but was halted by a court injunction. The province and the City of Toronto have since reached an agreement to save the buildings, and to guide any further development on site.

Three senior government sources with knowledge of the situation said Friday that a plan for a certificate system is in the works, with the final details still being worked out.
