Electrical transformer manufacturer Northern Transformer Corporation was fined for failing to ensure guide ropes were properly in place while workers were repairing a suspended electrical transformer.

Planned works to support the SMR project would include the excavation and grading, installation of services and utilities for future buildings, and the construction of service buildings.

The $38-million project, which is being led by Bird Construction at Toronto Western Hospital, will see clean energy supplied to the hospital facility using recovered heat extracted from wastewater and the sewage system.
