The land in the Jane and Finch community in North York is adjacent to the future Finch West LRT Maintenance and Storage Facility, and will be used to build a 65,000-square foot arts and community hub.

The proposed work would lengthen one of the airport’s runways, allowing it to offer another runway to serve class AGN IIIB aircraft—and therefore reduce delays or flight cancellations.

The bank announced Friday that it will offer loans of at least $5 million for up to 80 per cent of the capital cost of projects in key area including energy security, access to safe drinking water, reliable internet access and public transportation.

The federal government has topped up the Municipal Asset Management Program with more than $1.9 million that will be used to fund more than 40 projects in small communities across Ontario.

The health hub project is the first of its kind in Ontario, and was built at a cost of about $60 million by EllisDon Infrastructure Healthcare.
