Brampton City Council has approved a $1-million planning grant to help fund a future School of Medicine run by Ryerson University in the city.

In its submission to Infrastructure Canada’s National Infrastructure Assessment exercise, RCCAO urges the federal government to keep focus on building and repairing critical infrastructure.

Separate announcements in the regions will see more than $10 million allocated to 41 buildings in Niagara, and $33 million for a 120-unit development in Ottawa.

The offer, which was to expire on July 13, is conditional on Inter Pipeline's friendly deal to be acquired by Pembina Pipeline Corp. not being approved at a shareholder meeting on July 29.
