Several municipal and community-infrastructure projects around Ottawa will receive more than $11 million in funding from the federal and provincial governments to help respond to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 37 new entrants to the list include Priestly Demolition Inc., State Window Corporation and M.P. Lundy Construction. They add to a list that already includes several industry leaders.

New legislation introduced by the Minister of Labour, Training and Skills Development on May 6, would create a single-window entity that would cut red tape and make the skilled trades and apprenticeship system more efficient, accessible and easier to navigate.
