The province has announced funding of nearly $440,000 that will be put towards a program to help more than 2,000 high-school students learn more about careers in the skilled trades and technology sectors.

A two-year project to enhance the safety of the piers is complete at a cost of $26 million. The federal government is now in the process of transferring ownership of the piers to the City of St. Catharines.

The vaccination site at Brampton’s CAA Centre can process thousands of vaccines daily. The initiative was put together with Bruce Power and Peel Region with the support of several construction organizations and dozens of industry volunteers.

Applications are open through July 9. The awards celebrate those Ontario companies with 50 or fewer employees and who recorded health and safety successes in 2020.

The federal and provincial governments have earmarked more than $5 million for various indoor and outdoor improvements at the facility.
