IO releases latest P3 Market Update
While several projects have changed schedule or status, there are no major changes from the last iteration of the document released in September.
Building picked up in November as housing starts jump 14.4%
Canada Mortgage and Housing Corp. says the seasonally adjusted annual rate of housing starts rose 14.4 per cent to 246,033 in November, up from 215,134 in October.
University of Windsor handed $3M for facility upgrades
The province announced the funding through its Facilities Renewal Program, and the university will use the money to address its deferred-maintenance backlog.
New apprenticeship registrations dropped in 2019; more expected in 2020
At the end of 2019, the number of new registrants in apprenticeship programs national dropped by nearly 3 percent, and the number completing their programs dropped by nearly 4 percent compared to 2018. The news looks much worse for enrolment and completion rates in 2020.
Mississauga applies for nearly $15M in infrastructure funding
The 11 projects include retrofit work on municipal buildings, and construction of active transportation infrastructure and disaster mitigation infrastructure.
