The 10-year project to refurbish the Darlington Nuclear Generating Station achieved another significant milestone in early September when work started on defueling Unit 3.

The document commits both parties to a number of obligations, including no work stoppages, and a directive to replace the 20 percent of the project’s workforce that is expected to retire in the next 10 years with people from traditionally disadvantaged populations.
