The new fire station at 100 Marina Boulevard is being built to the CAGBC’s Zero Carbon Building Standard, and will replace the current north-end fire station on Carnegie Avenue.

Ontario is exploring the possibility of building new, large-scale nuclear plants in order to meet increasing demand for electricity and phase out natural gas generation.

The electric arc steelmaking facility project, which was announced in the summer of 2021, is the largest industrial-scale carbon reduction project in Canada.

One program targets deep retrofits in commercial, institutional and high-rise residential buildings, while the other encourages scalable deep-energy-retrofit plans in communities.

Six Nations says they have invested in the project, which will provide economic returns and 97 per cent of the construction workforce to build it.
