Tender for Waterloo library project awarded
Fortis Construction Group has won the bid to build Waterloo’s East Side Branch Library at RIM Park for $7 million.
$126M to be spent on Durham transit projects
Eleven projects across the region will share in the funding. The largest is valued at $71.7 million and will see the design and construction of bus rapid transit in Ajax, Whitby and Oshawa.
Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital reaches substantial completion
Work on the $1.3-billion project has been underway for nearly four years. Once opened, the facility will be Canada’s first smart hospital, featuring fully integrated systems and devices that communicate with one another.
Toronto provides construction update
The city has completed work on more than 170 infrastructure projects already this year, with plans to complete another 320 before the end of the year.
Loblaws re-opens West Block building in Toronto
The entire building was disassembled and rebuilt with each brick in its original location. The site now also features two condominium towers with a combined 850 units.
