A worker who was removing snow from the roof of a shed fell through a skylight. The worker was not using safety equipment as required by law.

Brick & Co. Restoration was named the gold level winner of the annual Small Business Health and Safety Leadership Awards. This year is the third in a row in which a construction company has earned the gold award.

The incident occurred in January 2019 and led to the death of one of the company’s workers.

Launched by Tridel and supported by EllisDon, the campaign aims to provide clarity on what is expected and what will not be tolerated on Tridel sites. The campaign is being supported by unions, industry associations and the provincial government.

Two separate incidents that led to worker injuries at its manufacturing facility have cost the London-based company $95,000, and one of its supervisors $2,000.
