The City of Belleville has made two significant appointments in its Engineering and Development Services department.
It announced on April 22 that it has promoted deputy chief building official Brett Forestell to chief building official. Taking Forestell’s place in the role of deputy chief building official is former building inspector Kevin Kehoe.

He is an associate member of the Certified Engineering Technologists of Ontario and a certified building code official with the Ontario Building Officials Association.
Kehoe, meanwhile, joined the City of Belleville as a building inspector in 2008. He is a graduate of the construction engineering technology program at Conestoga College in Kitchener. He is a certified building code official with the Ontario Building Officials Association.
“We are very pleased that Brett and Kevin have accepted these appointments within our Engineering and Development Services Department,” said city CAO Rod Bovay. “With their combined experience and enthusiasm, we are confident they are prepared to continue to strengthen the city’s relationship with local contractors and builders which will benefit the industry within our community.”
