EllisDon promotes two
EllisDon has announced two promotions in its modular and legal divisions.
Tom Howell, senior vice-president of legal services and labour relations, has accepted the role of leading EllisDon Modular, the company’s manufacturing and prefabrication division.
Howell joined EllisDon as vice president of labour relations in 2012. In 2016, he was promoted to senior vice president of legal services and labour relations. Under Howell’s leadership, that team’s capacity has grown to allow EllisDon to perform on more complex projects, and deliver cradle to grave services, financings and complex joint ventures.
Meanwhile, Andrés Durán has been promoted to senior vice president & general counsel. Durán began his legal career at Stikeman Elliott in Toronto, where he worked on private company mergers and acquisitions. He later joined Infrastructure Ontario, before moving back to the private sector to work with SNC-Lavalin. He joined EllisDon in 2015 as vice-president, P3 & international projects. In 2018, he was promoted to vice-president & general counsel.
Durán has played a key leadership role in numerous P3 pursuits, litigation matters, financings and the acquisition and integration of Carillion’s facilities management company. In his new role, Durán will oversee the legal services department and its many functions including, P3, international, corporate, commercial and insurance claims and litigation.
