Carlo Bot inducted into Ontario Road Building Hall of Fame
Carlo Bot, of Teranorth Construction & Engineering Limited, Sudbury, is the newest member of the Ontario Road Building Hall of Fame. Bot was honoured at the Ontario Road Builders’ Association 93rd Annual Convention and Annual General Meeting in Toronto. Bot led the list of several individuals and companies honoured at the event for their contributions to the industry and to their communities.
“Our members represent those who build the backbone of Ontario’s transportation infrastructure. These individuals and companies are a valuable asset to the Association and industry through their hard work and dedication to excellence. Their contributions have had a positive impact on not only the road building industry, but also within the communities in which they serve,” said Bryan Hocking, ORBA Chief Executive Officer.
Incorporated on August 14, 1992, Teranorth Construction & Engineering Limited rapidly became a major Ontario contractor in the road building industry.
The company has completed a diversity of projects ranging from smaller specialized projects to large provincial and municipal infrastructure.
The company reports that “Ongoing at the start of this season is an MTO project near Red Rock where we continue building the four lane section of the TransCanada Hwy 11/17 and Hwy 72 Moose Creek Bridge replacement in Sioux Lookout. Also started this season is work at Detour Lake on a new tailing management dam, and realignment of a Section of Hwy 17 east of Dryden along the Revell River. We also were recently awarded and began work on Maley Drive, a major highway bypass in Sudbury and a reconstruction of Hwy 64 in Alban and structural culvert replacements on Hwy 11 near Nipigon.”
