Construction Specifications Canada shutters all chapter events
Construction Specifications Canada (CSC) announced on March 17 that it will suspend all chapter events as well as its annual convention until further notice.
“Given the current climate surrounding COVID-19, we felt it’s prudent to inform you of the measures that we are putting into place as we remain vigilant about the spread and potential impact of COVID-19 coronavirus,” the organization announced on its website.
“In order to do our part to help contain the pandemic and safeguard the health and safety of our members, guests, volunteers and visitors, we have put an immediate moratorium on all CSC events until further notice.”
The cancellation extends to the CSC 2020 conference that was scheduled for May 20 to 24 in Montreal.
“This difficult decision was not made lightly, but was made keeping the health, safety, and wellbeing of you, our members, delegates, and sponsors in mind to minimize the risk to all,” CSC said.
The organization will continue to provide updates on its activities through its website.
