Brampton awards construction contract for Embleton Community Centre
The City of Brampton expects to start construction on the Embleton Community Centre early next year.
The city announced on December 9 that it has hired Frontier Group of Companies as the project’s construction manager. It added that project design and approvals are progressing, with major construction activities to start in the spring.
“Embleton Community Centre is a major investment in the future of southwest Brampton,” said Mayor Patrick Brown. “With the project advancing and key milestones achieved, we are moving closer to delivering a modern, inclusive facility that will provide high-quality recreation, programming and gathering space for the community.”
Embleton Community Centre will be a state-of-the-art, multi-use, multi-seasonal facility.
The centre will become southwest Brampton’s hub for recreation programs and lessons, aquatic and fitness opportunities and gathering and community connection.
Planning is also underway to include a new library branch and childcare facility on the site in the future.
