PCA launches Let’s Get Building campaign
The Progressive Contractors Association of Canada (PCA) has launched a national awareness campaign called “Let’s Get Building”.
Through it, the association is urging parties during the federal election campaign to focus on getting major projects built.
“Now is the time to build a stronger, more resilient and independent Canada by getting major energy and infrastructure projects built without further delay,” said President & CEO Paul de Jong. “The sooner these nation building projects get underway, the sooner Canadians reap the rewards through new trading partnerships, good jobs and a more stable economy.”
The campaign outlines reasons why the time is now for the delivery of these critical projects, including the need to increase energy production and trade, enhance energy security, attract investment, strengthen communities, diversify trade partners, and ensure opportunities for all construction workers.
Moreover, PCA points to the need to fast-track these projects and learn from past mistakes.
“Let’s demonstrate to the world that our resource rich country can green light projects in the national interest through a clear, timely and objective approvals process,” said de Jong. “Let’s get building to instil a sense of strength and national pride. This is our moment to prove that we have the talent and determination to build a stronger Canada.”
