IO issues two RFPs for Ontario Place redevelopment
Infrastructure Ontario and the Ministry of Tourism, Gaming and Culture (MTCG) are moving forward with two requests for proposals for construction work on the Ontario Place Redevelopment project.
The first sees the entities inviting five teams to respond to an RFP for construction management services for the development of the public realm as part of the project.
Shortlisted are: Urbacon Buildings Group, Amico Design Build Inc., EllisDon Civil Ltd., PCL Constructors Canada Inc., and Clearway Dufferin Joint Venture.
Meanwhile, IO and MTCG have invited two other teams to respond to an RFP for construction management services to re-align and extend the combined sewer overflow at 955 Lake Shore Boulevard West for the project.
Shortlisted are: Clearway Construction Inc. and EllisDon Civil Ltd.
No timelines have been stated for awards of either contract.
The Ontario government revealed the final designs for the new Ontario Place public space last summer. They included more than 50 acres of free public trails, expanded green space, playgrounds, interactive fountains, new beaches, event spaces and an updated marina.
