The new building is valued at $65 million, and is located in Hamilton’s Red Hill Business Park. Upon completion, the 65-foot-tall facility will boast nearly 250,000 square feet of storage space, and 30,000 square feet of food processing space.

Canada’s largest single−profession pension plan says in the coming weeks it will establish concrete targets for portfolio emissions and ensure companies it invests in report emissions annually.

The money will be earmarked for a dozen public-transit projects in the city, including construction of a dedicated bus rapid transit corridor along Lakeshore Road, as well as significant upgrades to the city’s MiWay bus fleet.

Three of the appointees represent British Columbia, Prince Edward Island and the Yukon, while the fourth will serve as a governor representing employers. They have been appointed to four-year terms.
