The York Memorial Collegiate Institute building in Toronto was badly damaged by fire three years ago. Funding from the province will support construction of an addition at the building; the school board will pay to conduct renovations.

Canadian executives say the biggest challenges facing businesses right now are a shortage of skilled workers and finding young employees, according to a recent survey.

The project scope of work sees expansion to the station to accommodate increased capacity as part of the planned expansion of GO Transit rail service. The work is expected to cost $562 million.

The work, which is expected to be completed by the spring of 2023, will prepare the station to accommodate two-way, all-day GO rail service.

Fayzullo Fazilov, Alexsandrs Bondarevs, Vladimir Korostin and Aleksey Blumberg died after the swing stage they were on suddenly collapsed on Christmas Eve 2009.
