South Bruce Grey Health Centre has been given the go-ahead to release a tender for the construction of a 2,000-square foot addition to the Kincardine hospital to house a new CT scanner. 

The Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure announced earlier this month that the project had earned its prestigious Envision Platinum Award.

Experts in green building policy, climate science and architecture increasingly tout the benefits of transforming buildings from a giant source of carbon into a large carbon sink.

The funding is part of the government’s $182.6 million investment provided through the Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund and the Community Infrastructure Renewal Fund.

The terms of the settlement between Crosslinx Transit Solutions and Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario sees various claims resolved, and the project’s opening date targeted for late 2022.
