A worker died after falling from the roof of a 13-storey building under construction in Hamilton. The Toronto contractor pled guilty to a charge of failing to ensure the worker was protected by a means of fall protection, and will pay a fine of $150,000.

The $42-million facility will be operational by 2021, and will generate enough green energy to heat 8,750 homes and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 48,000 tonnes annually.
