IBI Group has won the contract to provide engineering services for the Thornbury Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion 1A project in the Town of The Blue Mountains.

The building will accommodate 788 student spaces, 88 licenced childcare spaces, and five childcare rooms.

The cost to maintain public buildings in the face of extreme rainfall, extreme heat and freeze-thaw cycles could rise by $6 billion through 2030, and continue to increase if left unchecked.

The structure was installed as a permanent replacement for a structurally deficient bridge in the township, and previously served for three years as a temporary replacement for a damaged bridge some 30 kilometers away.
