Investment crossed the $20-billion mark in April, as growth in the non-residential sector offset a slight contraction in housing.

The Business Council of Alberta calls Canada's current regulatory system for large-scale infrastructure projects "complex, fractured and frustrating."

Bowmanville Construction Partners has been awarded the early-stage contract. The project will see the Lakeshore East GO line extended almost 20 kilometres east into Bowmanville.

The route will run between Hydro One’s Lambton Transformer Station, located in St. Clair Township and Chatham Switching Station in the Municipality of Chatham-Kent.

The federal government plans to make the production subsidies it's offering to Volkswagen tax-free to match the incentives offered by the U.S. Inflation Reduction Act.
